This is my “I put this sh*t on everything sauce”…
I honestly don’t remember when I came up with this crema because I’ve been making it for years but it definitely had to do with a taco and wanting to use something healthier than sour cream. I just came up with it one day and now it’s become something my friends and readers rave about all the time. It has now become a condiment in my house. You can put this sh*t on tacos, nachos, chili, pulled pork sandwiches, fish–you can pretty much use it to finish anything you want. You can also edit some of the ingredients for a different ethnic flare, but why mess with perfection?
It’s this simple.
- 1 avocado
- Fresh Cilantro
- Jalapeño (seeds and veins removed)
- 1-2 spoonfuls of light sour cream
- Juice of 1 lime
- Lime zest (optional if you like that flavor)
- Salt & Pepper
Put it all in a blender and puree it. Done.
I bought squeeze bottles at BBB to store it in the fridge easily. It will last a few days if stored in the fridge.
