Aunt Bonnie rarely comes to a party with out her cooler or tray of Jell-O shots. They are such a fun and delicious treat to bring to a party!
In preparation of making these I went to the grocery store, liquor store and the party store (it was closed) looking for the plastic shot glasses that come with a cover since that is what Bonnie always uses which I could not find! But I do recommend finding these for when you make your jello shots- they are easy to transport and are disposable. Last night, since I couldn’t find them, I had to improvise and since there were only four of us I opted for a martini glass and a spoon. More to enjoy! 🙂
I don’t typically like sweet desserts or drinks and I’m not a huge fan of chocolate but Bonnie’s jello shots are amazing!!
A photo from the most recent party (left to right) Laura, Me, Mom, Jordana, Niki and Bonnie, who brought espresso shots and jello shots. Yum! In the photo you can see the plastic shot glasses I was telling you about above!
INGREDIENTS:
- A shot of espresso
- 1 package of Jell-O Chocolate cook & serve pudding (6 1/2 serving size)
- 2 cups milk (I used reduced fat)
- 1/2 cup van Gogh Espresso Liquor
- 1/2 Cup of Godiva Chocolate Liquor
- Cool Whip
INSTRUCTIONS
In a saucepan cook the chocolate pudding with 2 cups of milk and shot of espresso until it gets thick. Then immediately pour in the liquors and espresso and stir for about 2 minutes. Pour into desired containers about the size of a shot glass. It’s easier to pour into the small shot glasses if you put the pudding into a measuring cup that has a pouring mechanism. Refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours.
Top with a dollop of whip cream before serving.
This will make you about 20 shots or 4 martini glasses!
These espresso shots also make a great treat in the office for a coworker’s birthday!! 😉
